Judge Amy Wilson was elected to the Las Vegas Justice Court in November of 2022 and took the bench in January 2023. Elected for a six-year term, she currently presides over a criminal domestic violence calendar.

Judge Wilson is originally from Logan, a small college town in Northern Utah where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law, cum laude, from Utah State University in June of 1994. Judge Wilson then went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from the J. Rueben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in December of 1997.

Judge Wilson is admitted to practice law in California (1998), Arizona (2006), Nevada (2014), United States District Court for the State of Nevada (2015), and The Supreme Court of the United States of America (2019).  Judge Wilson has practiced as a criminal prosecutor, defense attorney, civil litigator, and has served as a Judge Pro Tempore.  In addition, she has volunteered as a pro bono attorney with the Children’s Attorney Project (CAP) through Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada for several years prior to her election to the bench.

Judge Wilson has lived in Las Vegas for fourteen years and is very active in the community. In her free time, Judge Wilson enjoys golfing with her sons, spoiling her grandsons, travel, live music, musical theatre, and cheering on our local professional sports teams.
