Training

An essential part of an organization’s success is the training, education, and development of its most important asset, the employees.  Inspired, engaged, and skilled employees are usually dedicated to achieving both personal and organizational objectives. Positive employee morale and fulfillment lead to better performance, higher efficiency levels, minimal employee turnover and reduced cost for an organization.

The Neighborhood Justice Center (NJC) provides training in a wide variety of areas, such as effective communication, facilitation skills, team building, leadership skills, customer service, interest-based negotiation, dispute resolution, and conflict management training, just to name a few.

The NJC training staff is available to meet with businesses and organizations to develop specific training agendas to meet your training needs.

Contact our office at 702-455-3898 or via our website at Mediation.works@clarkcountynv.gov to schedule a meeting with the training coordinator to discuss how the NJC can develop a cost-effective specialized training program for you.

Facilitation

The NJC conducts facilitation sessions for multiple parties to discuss and plan how to meet their goals. The facilitator is responsible for keeping parties focused, identifying goals and selecting methods of implementation. The facilitator may utilize different methods in order to ensure that solutions are generated and selected.  However, the facilitator does not select the solution.

Facilitation as a method of resolving issues allows everyone to have a voice in the outcome. By keeping parties outcome focused, the process examines the future impact of the resolutions reached and allows the participation of those affected by the outcome.

NJC facilitators have been active in providing strategic planning and change management facilitation. These services can be accessed by contacting our office and meeting with the training coordinator to discuss costs, location and desired outcomes.

Community Outreach

The NJC strives to be present in the community and often attends community events to share the opportunity to solve problems without court intervention, including community fairs, health screenings, and other events where the public gathers. As we share our mission with Clark County, more businesses, organizations and citizens can elect to take control of their disputes. Please contact us for any upcoming events. We gladly make ourselves available for the community.
